| Stage One - Purchasing Raw Materials
Empty cartridges are sourced from Speed Infotech certified suppliers.
Ink products are sourced exclusively from OCP Germany.
Ink quality and safety is fully documented. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available upon request.
Pure Water is produced at the Speed manufacturing complex. PH value and electrical conductivity is assessed and confirmed prior to use in production processes.
Ancillary materials are procured under our supplier certification procedures.
Stage Two – Cleaning & Drying
Removal of remaining inks residue and the de-clogging of cartridge nozzle heads. A fully automated process employing machinery developed with the latest technology.
Primary cleaning procedure, using specialist technology and techniques, the inside of the cartridge is cleaned at carefully controlled temperature using a cleaning agent.
Secondary cleaning procedure, again in a temperature controlled environment pure water is used to clean the complete cartridge inside and out.
Drying process – all cartridges are completely dried using fully automated processes prior to next stage.
Component replacement which, includes the relocation of ink sponge (if applicable), and the replacement of filter as required
Stage Three – Ink Filling
Automated vacuum filling ensures correct ink volumes and provides reliable and measurable performance.
After filling each cartridge is subjected to a vacuum test (<0.05mpa)
Stage Four – Quality Control
Primary inspection - We conduct a full-page test on each and every cartridge produced at our factory. The results are evaluated and the cartridges are assigned accordingly.
Secondary inspection – This is performed with 12-24 hour period post production and primary inspection.
Stage Five – Sealing and Coding
All cartridges are tape sealed and protect by clips where appropriate and each cartridge is stamped with a production code, which states both date and batch number therefore enabling us to track all cartridge production.
Stage Six – Packing and Distribution
Cartridges are labelled, sealed in a poly-bag and packed in boxes with private label, neutral, or SPEED branding as appropriate. |
